Year-round Position -Trucking, farming, equipment moving and wrenching work.  Must have Class A CDL

Requirements: Must have Class A CDL, 3 years driving experience, be mechanically inclined to work winters in the shop (preventative maintenance and repairs on farm equipment), and be easy going and an early riser in the summer 

Job duties:

Spring/summer/fall:

• Haul a load of sod in the morning (Peterbilt) include working in a safe manner loading truck, tarping down load, local and statewide deliveries, unloading (Donkey forklift). No over nights.
• Move sod production equipment (with lowboy/detach) between farms
• Farming as needed

Winter: During the winter you’d work in shop with 2 other guys

• Repairing and doing preventative maintenance on farm equipment.

Nice to have experience -this sets you a part from other candidates:

• Equipment moving experience (detach/lowboy)
• Farming experience
• Flatbed hauling experience
• Equipment operating experience a plus

Trucking responsibilities (Peterbilt) include working in a safe manner while loading truck with pallets or big rolls of sod, strapping and tarping down the load using a lightweight landscape tarp & ratchet straps, (most often with the help of our team), local and statewide deliveries, and unloading (with Donkey forklift). No overnights… Must have Class A CDL, 2+ years of semi, Class A driving experience (or demonstrated proficiency).

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers with loading product into their vehicle/trailer via by forklift or by hand
• Maintains accurate inventory of product in the yard
• Mow, weed whip, and maintain yard area to keep tidy

• Assist field crew by driving forklift and stacking sod if needed
• Repairing pallets

Qualifications
Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Must be able to start work between 5:30-6:30AM (usually 6:00AM)
• Excellent communication & customer service skills
• Early morning and Saturday AM (7-noon) availability
• Must be able to carry & lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work in a safe manner
